Abraham, Sarah, Isaac, Jacob and Esau

What a great time we have had in Sunday School in September and October! This past Sunday we were challenged to think of something that we treasure.   We read the story of how Abraham was asked by God to sacrifice Isaac.   We were in shock!    We wrote on a piece of paper our treasure and built and alter to place our treasure onto as Abraham did with Isaac.   Just as we were about to get the matches...we realized the match box was empty.   What a great visual for us to see how God wants us to have things, but He wants us to put Him first above all things. Here is a glimpse of the learning and fun in opening worship and PK-1st Sunday School.  Bentley waited patiently while Gigi got things ready for others to arrive.   Clay and Will are loving the time together and hearing the story of Jacob and Esau! Hi Emilee, Raylynn, Annie and Bentley!

Have  you  ever  had  to  wait  for  something  you  really  wanted?     It’s  really  hard  to  wait  for  something  isn’t  it? And  the more  you  want   something,  the  harder  it  is  to  wait!  But,  when  you  finally  get  it,  it’s  really  great,  isn’t  it?    Yeah,  we  all  hate  to  wait,  but  we  love  it  when  the  wait  is  over  and  the  wait  makes  the  gift   even  greater!  A  long  time  ago  God  promised  Abraham  that  He  would  give  him  and  Sarah  a  child.   You can find this story in the book we are studying!   GENESIS!      Abraham  and  Sarah  were  quite  old  and  well  passed  the  age  of  having  children.  The   Bible  says  that  Abraham  trusted  God,  but  that  didn’t  make  waiting  any  easier.  It’s  hard  to   wait  for  something  even  when  we  know  it’s  coming.  It’s  like  when  you  know  you’re  going
