Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new! 2 Corinthians 5:17

January is here and Crenshaw Kids are studying ALL THINGS NEW!
We began our study with Adam and Eve.   In these pictures you will see us learning the story of how God made them and put them into the perfect beautiful garden.   Then, the serpent came and enticed Eve to eat from the forbidden fruit.
We learned that Adam and Eve changed all mankind forever~. They sinned.  Sin separates us from our Holy God.   They now must be made new.  God has a plan!   Next week....Nicodemus!   We will continue our study of how to become new.

Here are some snapshots from Sunday school!

Thank you Courtney for assisting Harrison!   He sure does love YOU!!!   XOXO. In these pictures we had heard the story and then we cut and glued pictures in order on our story board.

Clay is working so hard on his Adam and Eve coloring sheet.

Thank you Miss Ashley for hanging out with us!

After Sunday School we came back into our worship space and began children's church.   We are trying a new format of this time.   It will begin right after Sunday school.   It worked so smoothly and the children enjoyed music, a message and an activity reinforcing our scripture.   This time is more age appropriate for the K-5th graders than adult worship.    It is specifically designed to meet their spiritual needs.   Our youngest angels (0-pre k) move from their Sunday school class into the nursery area where they have playtime with Miss May Lynn.
Any feedback....good or bad with our new format is welcomed.

We begin with music, singing and dancing and fun!
Then our message for the day!    This week "Monkey" had a wig on....Monkey was playing the part of Eve!    HA HA.  Her hair kept getting in her eyes so the serpent had to swish it out a couple of times!  The kids loved the message!   Thank you Miss Sue and Monkey!

After the message, Miss Sue had the kids Christmas surprises.   THEY LOVED THEM!   Now everyone has a puppet that they can use to tell the story of the day!

More fun!  Oh boys!   Such hams!  Isn't it fun to have fun in God's house????

At the end of our time, we played a game!   It was super fun and entertaining to watch!
The kids were split into two teams.   We reviewed our verse of the month...2 Corinthians 5:17.   We gave them cups with each word of the verse.   These cups were all mixed up.   Two teams had to race to see who could put it together first!    It was so much fun to see the teams work together to find those words!

Thank you to Charlie, Carsten, Kevin and Kadisha for helping out in children's church!    I think you were having fun as well as helping!   HA HA.   Here you will see that they wanted to get in on the fun and have a round of competition.   Charlie and Carsten against Kadisha and Kevin......and the winners were...........Charlie and Carsten!    Great job!
