Sweet summertime!! June 4 Summer Sunday School....Week 1 Noah!

The people in Noah´s day did many bad things and that made God very sad. For that reason, God decided to send the flood to destroy all mankind. God takes sin very seriously.

1 John 1:9 says, “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”

Noah was a “righteous” man. The word, “righteous” contains the word “right”. It means he always tried to do what was correct and to obey God. God wants us to be righteous as well, even though sometimes we do things that do not honor God. However, God´s word gives us the promise that if we confess the bad things we have done and do what is right, God will always forgive us.

During our opening time, Dr. Horn wrote sinful things on a heart that was inside of a page protector. After talking about sin and how this hurts God, she took a wipe and wiped it off showing that God loves us and He wipes away our sin if we ask for forgiveness.

Just like that, God forgives our sins when we ask Him and we decide to obey His Word.

During Sunday School....students in all age groups got to create and ark and a rainbow snack to remind them about our story today!   Not only was this fun....it was tasty!

Sunday was amazing!   Looking forward to June 11 and our second lesson in the Noah series...."two by two".   Join us on June 11!

We will also be singing in 10:00 worship!

Oh no!   What happened on Monday???    Someone came in and packed up all our our classroom!   Don't worry!!    We are going to have a transformation!    New carpet and newly organized space!   Can't wait to do the "after photo" next week!

Growing in Christ room is keeping our things safe until we get it all back into place!   Hopefully by Sunday!   HA HA
