Stations of the Cross-Preparing for our Holy Week

Crenshaw Kids give what they have to give and pray that it is used for God's glory.   Thank you to these little ones who always volunteer eagerly to pray.

During our Sunday School time this week we prepare for Holy Week.   We traveled through stations to get a visual understanding of the week before Jesus was crucified on the cross.

The stations will continue to be on display until the Saturday before Easter Sunday.   If you could not make it on Sunday, feel free to visit anytime during the week or after church on Sunday.

The triumphal entry...

Jesus cleanses the temple...

Mary anoints Jesus with oil...

The children got to smell lavender soap and cotton balls dipped in oils.

Judas received 30 pieces of silver to betray Jesus...

Jesus serving the disciples by washing their feet and having a meal together...

Jesus prays in the garden of Gethsemane...

The soldiers arrest Jesus....

Peter denies knowing Jesus....we sometimes do not claim to know a friend or even Jesus....forgive us...

The crown of thorns, the cross, the vinegar and the nails...

Children placed a tooth pick in the crown to represent the thorns...

Children took turns putting a small nail in the wooden cross.   Then we saw a very large nail and the faces were very saddened.

The empty tomb!!    Hallelujah, He is Risen!!

Amen and amen...

Thank you to Bentley for helping to take our offering today.  Today was the first day of serving for Bentley.
God loves His children and asks them to come to Him.    It amazes me every single day that the littlest and youngest are willing to serve our Almighty Lord!
