Kids Jesus Retreat! Living Waters District
“Power of Prayer” Jesus Kids retreat was an amazing adventure into the heart of God through prayer. We opened the door for children to experience the living God personally in their own age appropriate way.
Children traveled to "stations" where they got to dig deep into a bible character's prayer and then followed up with activities that help to make it stick, consisting of games or puzzles or crafts and more.
Stations: 15-20 minutes per station.

We loved learning about Queen Esther!
"GO FISH" in our Jonah station was a hit!

Paul and Silas didn't complain when they were in jail! They sang praises to God! We made our own microphones and "blinged" them out to remember to sing our praises to God even when our day isn't the best!
Hannah didn't give up. She was persistant and prayed again and again. We tried to keep our balloon in the air and if it fell, we picked it up and kept going! This reminded us that Hannah prayed and prayed for a child. And God heard her and she had Samuel. We nicked named him Sammy.
I prayed for this child and God gave him to me. 1 Samuel 1:27
Our bible verse was printed on baby clothes and we took turns putting them in order on our clothes line.
Lunchtime was a hit! We made our own. Choice of PB and J or ham or turkey. Fruit and chips and water! Oh, and we loved the m &m cookies!

Free play was another fun part of our day!
Willow made a house for her baby!
Azonni brought Esther over to playtime! She said she wasn't finished making her sparkle with the glitter pens!
Asher enjoyed weaving our "big fish" in the Jonah station. We learned that the bible doesn't say a "whale" it says a "big fish". :). Jonah prayed in the belly of the fish! God heard him.
Miss Alice? I need some help! This yarn keeps getting tangled. "It's ok! Miss Alice has it under control"! HA HA. His look made me smile!
BOYS! Don't knock over the dolls house!
We are tired! Thanks for a great day!
