Tinley's Treeshouse Episode 3! "Woodpeckers and Worry".
Tinley and Max are looking for birds and UFO's and while doing so learn that God takes care of His creation!
Our verse this week was Matthew 6:26-27.
Consider the birds of the sky: They don't sow or reap or gather into barns, yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you worth more than than they? Can any of you add one moment to this life by worrying? Don't worry about tomorrow.
Tinley needed to spot a Downy Woodpecker to complete her Bird Bingo Challenge. While looking for bird, Tinley and Max thought they spotted a UFO! Max got a case of the "what ifs" while walking in the woods. He shared his worries with Tinley, who encouraged him to trust God.
I ask you...Who is someone who encourages you when you are worried?
Max learned that if God provides for the birds, he could trust God to take care of his dad and his family. We can trust God to take care of us as well.
Who in your life needs to know God will take care of them?
Max quoted a Bible verse when he was worried. We can also use God's Word to help us and bring us comfort when we are scared.
Think of one verse, any verse that you know from the Bible. Does it bring you comfort?
At the end of the episode, Max shared that his dad got a new job. We can trust God to meet our needs, too.
What is something we can give to God? Something that we could pray for someone else?
